Welcoming 2025 with exciting R&D advancements by the DARE2X team!
Now that we embark on a fresh new year, the DARE2X consortium is working closely, dedicated to achieving the latest stages of our project with the highest performance and dedication.
NIC and UoL collaboration on the plasma system and characterisation activities
Katja Voldan from the National Institute of Chemistry – NIC spent several days at the University of Liverpool – UoL facilities, collaborating to understand the plasma chemistry, properties, system, and characterisation through in-situ plasma and electric diagnostics. During this time, Katja tested the catalyst materials selected and prepared for DARE2X and her PhD thesis with the UoL team and students.

This collaboration yielded some interesting results, providing a full picture of reaction mechanisms and pathways in plasma-catalytic ammonia synthesis. Katja is now back at NIC’s facilities, conducting additional characterisations to demonstrate the final expected performances of the DARE2X reactor. Stay tuned for more exciting conclusions!
