Final DARE2X Assembly in Brussels, advancing in decentralised green ammonia production
Brussels, Belgium – September 2025. On the 12th of September 2025, the DARE2X consortium gathered in Brussels for its final General Assembly, held in conjunction with the final conference titled: “What can Brussels do for Green Ammonia: EU industry, policy & regulations”, which took place the day before.
During this final assembly, partners reviewed the remaining steps required for the final deployment of the DARE2X prototype. Discussions centred on the evaluation of key performance indicators (KPIs), with technical exchanges between the Danish Technological Institute (DTI), Hulteberg Chemistry & Engineering, the National Institute of Chemistry, and the University of Liverpool, focused on the successful integration of catalysts and sorption materials, the design of operating conditions for the non-thermal plasma-catalytic reactor, and improvements in energy efficiency within the sorption-enhanced reactor.
In parallel, partners assessed those KPIs related to the economic and environmental impact of the obtained results, developed by ENSO Innovation, and supported by LOMARTOV, with the techno-economic assessment, market analysis, and social acceptance studies. LOMARTOV also shared updates on the dissemination and communication (D&C) strategy. These outcomes are essential for the consortium’s final reporting process and the project’s close-out phase.

The prior day, the partners were also gathered for the DARE2X final conference, “What can Brussels do for Green Ammonia: EU industry, policy & regulations”. A conference that brought together green ammonia technology innovators, business, and policymakers. Organised by LOMARTOV, lead of D&C activities in the DARE2X project, the event aimed to foster dialogue and explore both opportunities and challenges in accelerating the deployment of green ammonia technologies, particularly for decarbonising sectors such as maritime and agriculture. DTI, project coordinator, actively contributed to the conference by moderating sessions and presenting DARE2X as a promising solution for decentralised green ammonia production.
Attendees also viewed the official project promotional video, which has already been published, and will be complemented by additional resources, including graphic visuals and a policy brief tailored for stakeholders and decision-makers.
