CONSORTIUM

DARE2X gathers world-leading research institutions and innovative R&D-performing SMEs
specialized in renewable technologies, materials engineering, and technology demonstrations.
The Consortium is composed by 6 partners from 5 different countries:

Teknologisk Institut – DTI

DTI is coordinating the project, as well as, developing catalyst materials for improved efficiency and conversion in the production of ammonia. DTI is leading the integration of the novel catalyst and sorption materials into a combined synergistic improved configuration for the green production of ammonia.

Teknologisk Institut is a leading research and technological company with more than 100 years of experience and clients in 65 countries.
Teknologisk Institut counts with high-technology infrastructures and world-class facilities and equipment within different areas such as energy and climate, food, biotechnology, materials, construction, and production. DTI is a key partner in ensuring that the green transition takes place in companies in terms of energy, materials, and foods.

Hulteberg Chemistry & Engineering AB - HB

Hulteberg is developing advanced adsorption materials for enhancing the ammonia production and improving the overall reactor yield. Hulteberg will also make sure that the selected catalysts and adsorbents can be scaled up with respect to production, as well as contributing to the system design.

Hulteberg Chemistry & Engineering AB is a Swedish innovative company focused on research, development, production of catalysts, and their implementation. In catalysis Hulteberg cover the full chain. In addition to catalysis, they also perform engineering services. They offer years accumulated both know-how and know-who in their field of expertise, so that they assemble and lead teams that are exceptionally good at assessing new technology from a commercialisation perspective.

Kemijski inštitut - National Institute of Chemistry - NIC

NIC is contributing its expertise in chemical modelling, simulations and synthesis. It will model catalyst materials and use it to predict novel formulations, which will also be synthesised and tested.

Kemijski Inštitut is a scientifically excellent, established and breakthrough research institution based in Europe.
With their cutting-edge research, they are enriching the global treasury of knowledge by solving the most pressing challenges facing society including health, sustainable energy, climate change, a circular economy and safe food. Their research goals push the boundaries of science and create new values and successfully transfer knowledge to industry and, in the long-term, support the role of science in the development of society.

University of Liverpool – UoL

UoL contributes to the development of the plasma-catalytic process for ammonia synthesis, including plasma reactor design, catalyst evaluation, and understanding the reaction mechanism. UoL will also work with other partners and play a supportive role in other WPs.

The university of Liverpool is a public research university based in the city of Liverpool, England. Founded in 1881 and associated with nine Nobel Laureates, the University is recognised for its high-quality teaching and research. Their research collaborations extend worldwide and address many of the grand challenges facing mankind today. University of Liverpool offers more than 400 courses for undergraduates and postgraduates.

ENSO INNOVATION – ENSO

ENSO is developing the sustainability assessment following the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) methodology and the LCC (Life Cycle Cost) to ensure that project technologies are green and cost-effective.

ENSO INNOVATION is a technological company whose main activity revolves around the research and development of new processes, technologies, products, and services applied to industry that allow for the reduction of environmental impact.
R&D, sustainability, improving the environment and circular economy are their hallmarks. Committed to environment and innovation, ENSO promotes sustainability in the use and production of new materials, the improvement of processes and technologies, and the valorisation of resources, covering clients and technological partner’s needs.

LOMARTOV S.L. - LOM

LOMARTOV will undertake the Techno-economic feasibility study of upscaling and the social acceptability study of DARE2X reactor technology. Parallelly, the team will lead Dissemination, Communication & Exploitation activities to spread awareness and ensure the re-usability of the scientific results of the project.

LOMARTOV is an innovative SME specialised in Applied Innovation Engineering. The company has validated experience in technology transfer, coaching and assessment, supporting both the upscaling and exploitation phase of the projects, and especially in the evaluation of the environmental, economic, and social impacts of novel technology-based solutions through Eco-design, and Life Cycle Assessment approach, encompassing environmental, economic, and social aspects.
Thanks to this set of capabilities and the qualified team, LOMARTOV acts as the interface between scientific research and industrial development to ensure the correct and efficient transfer of knowledge and know-how among the relevant stakeholders.
